Application
for water service can be made in person at the district office. Each
application is dealt with on an individual basis. Anyone interested
in obtaining water service from the district is encouraged to
contact the general manager to discuss their water service
requirements.
For
property needing water service that does not currently have water
rights, an application for water rights must first be completed. A
deposit equal to 25% of the value of water rights being applied for
must be submitted with the application. This deposit is fully
refundable if the application is denied or withdrawn. All water
rights applications undergo a technical review before being
submitted to the Board of Trustees for consideration. If you are not
sure if your property has water rights, contact the district office
and staff will be happy to provide you with this information.

The
district will also accept applications for water service to lands
outside of the district boundary. Assuming all technical
considerations are provided for and the board approves the
application, the next step is to have the district boundary amended
to include the land within the district boundary. An order in
council of the provincial government is required to bring the
boundary amendment into effect. Potential applicants are advised
this can take some time and should plan accordingly.
