After a slow start to the season, irrigation demand has picked up considerably with the recent hot weather. The first water use reports of the year were mailed to all landowners with a metered irrigation service July 24, 2017.
The reports provide information to landowners about the date the meter was read, how much water was used and how much of the annual allotment is left. Landowners are reminded that water use in excess of the annual allotment is subject to a metered rate penalty. In years when water supply is limited due to drought, exceeding the annual allotment can also result in the service being shut off for the remainder of the irrigation season.
