After a slow start to the season, irrigation demand has picked up considerably with the recent hot weather. The second water use reports of the year were mailed to all landowners with a metered irrigation service August 29th, 2017.
The high demand this season means storage reservoirs are below average. Any property exceeding the allotment will be charged a metered rate penalty. The final day of irrigation is October 10, 2017. Requests for late irrigation can be made by completing a "Special Irrigation Application Form" at the district office. Applications for late irrigation will be considered on case by case basis. Late irrigation will not be granted to land in excess of the annual allotment. More information on irrigation regulations is available at www.sekid.ca.
We would like to thank you for your cooperation in using our community water resources efficiently and remind everyone that water saved now will be available for use in the future.
