The Value Planning process is a requirement of the provincial government to assess grant funding applications to insure tax dollars are spent wisely on worthwhile projects that meet the criteria of the grant program.  

SEKID is submitting a domestic water quality improvement project for consideration that was originally conceived in the 1980's. While not going back that far, there are several documents being submitted in consideration of SEKID’s groundwater domestic supply option. The narrative included on this web site is intended to provide context and the relevance of each submission in terms of the objectives of the VP Terms of Reference.

This submission addresses the objectives outlined in the Terms of Reference and each of the following categories have a dedicated page under the Value Planning menu: 

  1. The best, lowest cost solutions;
  2. Achieve public health standards;
  3. Ensure flexibility from administrative and operational perspectives; and
  4. Maintain agricultural interests.
